Readers and passerby, I apologize for the lapse in updates. I've been swamped for the last two weeks in meetings. Unfortunately, this schedule problem will probably extend through this week and maybe into next.
Yesterday I had the fortune to see Minister Ponomarev of the Russian Parliament speak at the Heritage Foundation . He is noted as one of the few politicians brave enough to oppose Putin, he was the only lawmaker who voted against annexing Crimea, but unfortunately he may not be around forever. Already the Russian government is tightening the vice around Ponomarev and his aides.
The talk was broadcast live via C-SPAN. All of it is worth watching but the last 15 minutes are particularly interesting.
